Direct Response Employment Services are looking to fill role as Mill Packing Operative for our client in Melksham on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly and established company where development and promotion opportunities are available. We are seeking someone who has had previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
Role Description:
As a mill Operative you will be trained to take responsibility for running our packing line machinery to achieve maximum efficiency without compromising on quality and reporting directly to the production manager.
- Prepare packing line as instructed.
- Organise self in preparation of essential production line tasks ensuring all materials , equipment needed has been collected in good time.
- Pack, Label and stack products.
- Complete packing working correctly and accurately.
- Ensure stock is stored correctly.
- Operate mill machinery and equipment including bagging.
- Report any defects to the production manager.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance and maintenance practices.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Counter balance FLT Licence is desirable
- Experience operating machinery is a plus.
- Full training given.
Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00
