We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head Baker to lead our night shift team in a fast-paced artisan bakery environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled baker who loves quality products, enjoys leading people, and wants to play a key role in a growing bakery operation.

You’ll work alongside the Production Manager to deliver exceptional breads and pastries while building a positive, high-performing team culture.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead, train and inspire the night bakery team to consistently deliver outstanding artisan breads and baked goods
• Use your expertise in dough handling, shaping, fermentation and baking techniques to maintain exceptional product quality
• Work closely with the Production Manager to improve efficiency, consistency and production performance
• Support and develop team members through coaching, training and hands-on leadership
• Ensure excellent food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards are maintained at all times
• Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve yields and streamline bakery operations
• Organise staffing and production flow to ensure smooth and efficient night shift running
• Maintain high standards across the bakery and ensure audit readiness

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior or head baker within an artisan or high-volume bakery
• Strong knowledge of bread production, fermentation, proofing and baking processes
• Confident leadership skills with experience managing and motivating bakery teams
• Passion for artisan baking and producing high-quality products
• Excellent organisation and time management skills in a fast-paced environment
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety regulations
• Reliable, hands-on and committed to maintaining high standards every day

Hours:

45 hours per week – Any 5 days out of 7

Shift: 17:00-02:00
