The Registration Process

We like to meet all our candidates face to face for registration, we find it a crucial element of helping us find the right job for you. Giving us the time to get to know you and put a face to the name, allowing us to support you fully on the recruitment journey.

To register just pop in to the agency between the hours of 9am – 3pm, Monday to Friday with no appointment needed.

Please ensure you bring the following documents with you to help complete the registration process.

  1. Right to Work: Passport, Birth Certificate or share code. For a full list of documents then please visit Gov website here. https://www.gov.uk/prove-right-to-work
  2. Proof of your National Insurance Number (e.g. card, payslips, P45, P60 or an official document with your NI number on)
  3. Proof of address dated within the last 3 months such as bank statement or utility bill.
  4. Driving Licences if for a driving position along with CPC and Digi card if applicable.
  5. Any other documents you feel may be relevant such as your CV, any certificates or licenses.

What Permanent Roles do you have?

If you are looking for a permanent role, we work with a number of clients across Wiltshire and Somerset and can support you in looking for your next permanent position. We work across a range of sectors from entry level roles through to senior and executive positions within commercial, industrial, driving, technical and engineering industries.

We will work with you in assisting with interview preparation including negotiating offers such as salary and benefits and our service does not stop once you start, we like to keep in touch to make sure you are settling in to your new position.

What Temporary Positions do you have?

As a candidate of Direct Response Employment Services, working with us on a temporary assignment, we like to think of you as one of the team and will always be on hand to support with any queries you may have with your assignment. That is why the team are on call 24/7, 7 days a week so if you need us then we are there for you and will support you through the whole process.

We work with you to find a job that matches your requirements, however if you start a temporary role and you feel it is not for you then please get in touch with one of our friendly consultants and we can support you in finding a new role.

How do I register with Direct Response Employment Services?

Pop into our office and complete our registration form and bring along your required documents as stated above. We have a walk in registration policy so no appointment needed, just pop in to the office between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday to register.

Our office is based at 50 Fore Street, Trowbridge, BA14 8ES. We are just opposite costa coffee in the town centre.

How do I get paid?

You get paid every Friday one week in arears. A completed and signed timesheet from the client is required for us to be able to pay you.

How do I book holiday?

You can fill out a holiday form online or in branch or contact your consultant directly to book in holiday dates. We do normally require at least twice as much notice in order to book holiday. So for example if you would like 1 weeks holiday, we ask you give us 2 weeks notice.

What if I am sick?

All sickness must reported to your local branch at least one hour before your shift starts. Each branch has a 24hr on-call number for out of office hours to call for emergencies and to report sickness and lateness.

What do I do if my pay is wrong?

Pay queries need to be reported to our office during office hours please give us a call with your enquiry or email our accounts team on [email protected] and we will investigate immediately and rectify should a mistake been made.

How do I change my address?

You can contact our office and speak to one of our consultants over the phone or pop in and fill in a change of address form.

Can I get a permanent job while being a temp?

Absolutely, the majority of temporary roles we recruit for can lead to a permanent position and we will work with our candidates in supporting them in securing a permanent role .
