Food Production Operators

Job Description

Direct Response Employment Services are seeking production operatives to work for our client in Shepton Mallet.

We have vacancies available. These will both lead to a permanent position for the right candidates.

Candidates will require a good level of literacy, numeracy and communication.  level two certificate in food and hygiene for manufacturing would be beneficial however, full training for this can be provided. Experience within food manufacturing would be advantageous however full training will be provided. 

Candidates will be required to work steadily and methodically as per training, turning products consistently as per procedure, stack to the correct height, remove any foreign objects and pass to the Quality Department, assist with cleaning of machinery, weigh products to correct method, packing and maintaining all levels of Health & Safety.

This position can be extremely physical at times.

Working hours for both vacancies are:

05:30-14:00, 14:00-22:30 rotating shifts

07:30-16:00, 15:30-00:00 rotating shifts

Shift allowance paid after 12 weeks plenty of overtime available.

Benefits include, weekly pay, holiday pay on a pro rata basis, pension scheme and parking on site.
